The design of the multipurpose small water reservoir
Šejnoha, Petr ; Menšík, Pavel (referee) ; Doležal, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the simplified design of a small water reservoir in selected place near the village of Kadov. If serves to improve the countryside, fish farming and recreation. Part of the thesis is a discussion about the type and function of a small water reservoir and its water management solution. The design of the damis evaluated. A water balance is drawn up for the particular considered profile of the dam, which evaluates the specific drainage from the river basins, the evaporation and the leakage of water by the body of the simplified designed dam. This gives rise to a basis idea of the possibility of handling water in the tank. Terminology is based on the valid ČSN (Czech State Standart) and TNV (Technical standart water management). The current state of the countryside and the requirements of the Mayor were taken into account.
Educational programme presenting activities related to pond management for pupils at lower-secondary level
ČERMÁKOVÁ, Simona
Educational programme that presents activities related to pond agriculture to pupils from upper elementary schools. The main aim of the diploma thesis was to create an educational programme, that could introduce the basics of pond management to the pupils from upper elementary school. The programme was subsequently verified by pupils in real life. The programme was based on two analyses. The first study includes the topic of fish and pond management from textbooks for elementary schools. Second analysis is focused on the ŠVP and from that a selected group of elementary schools in the Czech Republic. The educational program is based on an excursion in pond management. After the excursion the pupils had to fill out a worksheet including a task with elements of research in the form of brainstorming, and they also had to create a mind map. The entire educational programme was verified by the pupils from the seventh grade of elementary school in Žďár nad Sázavou, mid- March. In the pond farm, the execution was led by a local fisherman. The pupils saw a live carp, zander, poke and even saw the hatcheries. The fisherman also explained the yearly works at the farm pounds. Pupils filed out the worksheet without any problems and they even had a variety of aids at their disposal. During the brainstorming activity I gained an overview of what the children imagine behind the term fish and pound management. Based on the concepts that were obtained thanks to the brainstorming activity the pupils created their own mind maps. In a task with elements of research teaching, the pupils found out how the gas bladder of fish works. The educational programme in practice is functional and usable in the Žďár region. After a few modifications it can be also used in other regions of the republic.

Integrovaná ochrana rostlin v akvaponických systémech
URBÁSEK, Jan
The aim of this bachelor thesis was to develop a literature search focused on the issue of integrated pest management (IPM) in aquaponics. Due to the fact that the literature focused on IPM in aquaponics is very limited, the work is based primarily on information about plant protection used in greenhouses or hydroponics. Individual methods of plant protection were evaluated based on their applicability in various types of aquaponic systems. The evaluation also considered their real usage in commercial aquaponic farming. Prevention is proving to be the most effective. By following strict preventive measures, more significant problems can be prevented. Subsequent resolution of the problems can be quite complicated and can cause irreversible economic losses on plant products. Chemical protection is now commonly used in plant protection in greenhouses and hydroponics. However, the application of chemical pesticides in aquaponics is highly problematic due to their possible toxicity to aquatic organisms. Due to the limited possibilities of using traditional chemical pesticides, it is therefore necessary to look for other alternatives. Natural products based on plant extracts could become one of these alternatives. There is a large number of plants that have pesticidal effect, but the possibility of their application is without further research very limited, as most products of plant origin have not been tested for their toxicity to aquatic organisms. In this work has been created an overview of plant products available on the market that could be used against problematic pests and diseases. Also based on literature sources there has been created a list of plants that can be recommended for future research into usability and inclusion in the IPM system of large aquaponic farms.
Hobby akvaponie
VONDRUŠKA, Vojtěch
The aim of this bachelor thesis was analysing hobby aquaponics systems available on the market and then designing, assembling and testing own aquaponics hobby system which can be used on balconies, terraces and gardens. Five different media beds and one combination of media bed and raft system were selected and evaluated. From the identified shortcoming of systems on the market were designed, assembled and tested in practice two media beds aquaponics systems. These systems were evaluated and compared with systems available on the market.
How to become a critically endangered species: a review of the distribution and status of the crucian carp (Carassius carassius)
Janda, Benedikt ; Choleva, Lukáš (advisor) ; Lojkásek, Bohumír (referee)
The Crucian carp (Carassius carassius) is the native species of fish in European standing and slowly flowing waters. Thanks to their high resistance to adverse abiotic conditions, they also inhabited dead arms of river, ponds and floodplains. Despite its resilience, this species has been declining or completely retreating from the most of natural habitats since the middle of the 20th century. The negative direct human interventions into the species populations were, intensive fishing and the elimination of suitable habitats as a result of landscape defragmentation, which was part of flood control measures. Secondly, the human-made introductions of non-native species, the Gibel carp (Carassius gibelio), capable of gynogenetic reproduction, strongly competes with the native species for resources. The extent to which the situation of the native Cruvian carp is critical and ow it has historically occured is revised in the formo f literaly search by this bachelor's Thesis. Keywords The Crucian carp, gynogenesis, molecular genetic methods, cytochrome b gene, taxonomy, hybridization, introduction, microsatellites
Village Pátek during 20th century
Kolbaba, Lukáš ; Dvořáková, Michaela (advisor) ; Dvořáková, Markéta (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals the village Pátek during the history. The main part of thesis is 19th and especially 20th century. Are important events that had a major impact on the lives of citizens. The beginning is describes several events from earlier period, which significantly changed the character of village. In the century are then collected separately and described some important points in the village, consisting primarily of buildings (mills, school) or economic sectors (fish farming), which at that time played an important role, whether cultural or business, the lives of the villagers. The focus works are the memorial books and chronicles, to a lesser extent, the recorders of the meeting of the National Committee. To complement and improve some information was also used in the memories of several witnesses.
Factors influencing the ecological stability of the Novozamecky rybnik Reserve
Hanzelka, Jan ; Čihař, Martin (advisor) ; Reif, Jiří (referee)
Fishponds and their surroundings are affected by many factors disrupting their ecological stability. In this thesis, influences of selected factors are evaluated. Particularly it is discussed excessive overgrowing of shoreline by plants, pond siltation by allochthonous material from catchment area, eutrophication process and intensive fish farming. It is presented the impact of these factors on local avifauna in Novozámecký fishpond National Nature Reserve and Special Protection Area and compared with Třeboňsko Special Protection Area. Birds use the ponds especially as nesting habitat and food source. Therefore, it is necessary to describe the influences disrupting this habitat. The frugal interference with mentioned processes is needed in terms of dynamics of the ecological stability. Thereby the requested fishpond parameters and ecological and economic values will be maintained. Fisheries management and lack of historical management in the form of reasonably performing mowing and grazing in the vicinity of the ponds has the greatest impact on the habitat of birds upon Třeboň fishponds. Novozámecký pond also suffers from the lack of historical management, but the unsatisfactory state of the pond is rather due to the overall eutrophication of the environment.
